'THE ICE IS CALLING'
I am a Girl Scout Senior and currently working on my Gold Award project.  I chose to address the global health issue of obesity in children and, of course, will use my passion for skating to help tackle this growing concern.  I will lead a National Skating Month open house event at the Howell Ice Arena in Farmingdale, NJ  and educate my community of the many health benefits of skating.  I hope to increase local awareness and participation in US Figure Skating programs and attract new families to the world of skating.  My event will be a great way to kick off the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
